On the day that we completed and met our deadline to go to print (hello, premiere print issue), our team headed over to a downtown rooftop to celebrate our hard work with pretty cocktails and yummy snacks. As a loving reminder, Stacie made a note to the team: Don’t forget to bring sunglasses! After a couple of cocktails and staring into each others’ faces (rather than our own computer screens), it didn’t take long before we all realized something: We all have totally different taste in shades. Naturally, we wanted to give you The Edit on sunglasses and a note on where to find them around Nashville.

Oliver Peoples
Lacey | Oliver Peoples
“These vintage-inspired Oliver Peoples ($420) are my favorite for summer. The anti-reflective coating and 100% UVA/UVB protection are great for light eyes. Plus the blue tint is a fun twist for pool season.”

Barton Perreira
Lauren | Barton Perreira

“I love these Barton Perreira sunglasses ($565) because they are chic and a quality product, but also very comfortable. An added bonus with Barton Perreira is that if you have an issue with the shape or the fit of the glasses, they are conveniently located in the Hill Center Green Hills and their team will take care of you.”

Krewe

Ellen | Krewe

“I’m really into classic looks, which a lot of time means my wardrobe and accessories have a vintage feel. These sunglasses fit almost every outfit I own, whether a sundress or the classic jeans and white tee look. Krewe offers this style in several different color options/designs, so I’m sure you can find one you like, as well. Even better? They’re only priced at $295 online and can be found locally at Look East in East Nashville.”

Tom Ford
Stacie | Tom Ford

“Every year, I gravitate towards a similar version of these oversized shades from Tom Ford. The lenses pop out for easy cleaning (and replacement if you get a scratch). They are versatile and not so dark that they hinder reading clearly outdoors. Find Tom Ford Glasses at Optique Nashville on West End or Nordstrom at The Mall at Green Hills.”

Costa
Kimberly | Costa

“For me, summer means the beach, boating, and diving … so, sunglasses are a must. Costa sunglasses are polarized and have UV protection – essential when out in the sun. I like them because their frames come in a range of sizes from small to extra large for a perfect fit, and you can choose a variety of different lens colors based on your activity and prescription lenses are available. I get my Costa sunglasses at Dillard’s at The Mall at Green Hills and Primary Eyecare Group.”

Alaina | Ray-Ban
“I’m very picky when it comes to sunglasses, and have a hard time finding anything that I like. These are the first pair of sunglasses I’ve owned that I seem to never want to take off. They’re not too overstated and have a classic look about them that I love ($203). Ray-Bans can be easily found in Green Hills at The Sunglass Hut.”
