Luxury beauty brands like Chanel, Tom Ford, and Dior all draw us in with their packaging and designer labels, but leave us wondering if the product inside is genuinely worth the price tag. For the sake of these images and my pure curiosity, I’ve tried out some of the most popular products from these luxury brands, and I’ve determined the eight that I truly can’t live my days without. Almost all of these products you’ll be able to find at their respective counters at Dillard’s or Sephora in Green Hills. Go, go, go!

Tom Ford’s Lip Blush

This new beauty naturally caught my eye because of the gold flakes within the product. I was very curious as to how it provided lips with color because it appears clear, so I had to give it a shot. I was truly shocked with the results as my lips had a gorgeous, natural blush color and the texture is so minimal. It’s almost like a high-quality lip balm. 10/10 would recommend. Dior’s Diorskin Airflash Foundation

I’m not one to wear much makeup. I’m usually a tinted moisturizer kind of girl, but this spray foundation gives me amazing coverage with no weight. You simply spray the foundation onto a brush and gently apply to the face for a simple, airbrushed look.

Chanel’s ILLUSION D’OMBRE Eye Shadow
Jami-Lyn Fehr

This product is the perfect way to elevate an otherwise natural makeup look. It doesn’t crease, is applied easily, and has the right amount of shimmer. (Pictured at right)

Tom Ford’s Soleil Contouring Compact

I initially purchased this one for a photoshoot and prayed I would love it after I was done photographing it. Turns out, I do! I simply take a blush brush and use it in a circular motion across all three shades and lightly apply to my cheeks. These shades are very pigmented, so it doesn’t take much and the result is a stunning sunkissed look. Perfect for Spring and Summer. (Pictured on right)

Dior’s Diorshow Brow Styler

I haven’t quite hopped on the microblading train, so I’m still in need of a little assistance in the brow department. This pencil goes on incredibly smooth, doesn’t require any sharpening, and has lasted me several months. It’s not too dark, which I love, and leaves my brows looking full and natural.

Chanel’s LE SIGNE DU LION Illuminating Powder

I cannot live without this. I can’t say that enough. When they released it a few years ago I bought three in fear that they would discontinue it. This is by far the best highlight to ever grace my cheekbones. It doesn’t hurt that it’s got a gorgeous lion embossed into the compact, either.

Dior’s Diorskin Mineral Bronzing Powder

Bronzer is a seasonless essential. This provides the summertime glow we all need year-round, and this Dior compact does so with ease. You can use the little brush it comes with, or invest in another. Either way, this bronzer is worth every penny.

Tom Ford’s Concealing Pen

For those days without as much beauty sleep as you’d have liked. This concealer effortlessly covers dark circles without any creasing or noticeable color differences from your foundation. It’s lightweight, and you control how much product comes out by simply turning the bottom. Thank you, Tom Ford, for an easy-peasy rested look.
