The ladies on our cover may have had their makeup and hair done by a team of experts, but lucky for us, Neil Robison, who focused on Kimberly Schlapman’s beauty, was kind enough to share his tips and products that he used the day of our cover shoot

HAIR

Kimberly’s curls are just one of her striking features, and in order to make sure they looked their best, he opted for WEN SIXTHIRTEEN’s Smoothing Glossing Serum paired with Kevin Murphy Session Spray Flex for optimal hold, yet flexible enough to have some movement to it.

FACE

To start the makeup look, Neil used Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream to create a perfect base layer for optimal makeup application. He then went in with Face Atelier Ultra Foundation pro-8 caramel and 6 honey. For under the eyes and any redness-prone areas, Nars radiant creamy concealer in honey was layered on. To set the cream-based products, Neil used Hourglass’s veil translucent setting powder. Once set, you’re able to apply any powder-based products. Lastly, Neil added Mac’s blush in warm soul before using Mac’s fix plus setting spray to complete Kimberly’s face look.

EYES

To keep Kimberly’s look easy and naturally beautiful, there weren’t many products Neil used for her eyes. To fill in her brows a bit, Neil used Anastasia’s brow pencil in taupe. As for eyeshadow, he used the Viseart Pro Volume 2 palette and completed the look with Marc Jacobs’s gel eye crayon in black for eyeliner, and Mabelline’s falsies mascara in black as well.

LIP

For the finishing touch, Neil applied Mac’s Love Me lipstick in the shade Daddy’s Girl topped with Fenty’s Gloss Bomb lipgloss.

BODY

To continue Kimberly’s sunkissed glow onto her collarbones, shoulders, and arms, Neil used Westmore Beauty’s body makeup in natural radiance. Body makeup is a pro’s secret and is the perfect way to make sure your face makeup appears seamless with the rest of your body.
