Nestled between 12South’s newest stores, Madewell Denim Edit and Marine Layer, is Gwyneth Paltrow’s highly anticipated goop MRKT pop-up. Edit team members got to browse their newly renovated 1,200-square-foot space before it opened to the public, and it’s not something you want to miss.

If you’re not familiar with goop, it’s the brainchild of Gwyneth Paltrow and began as a weekly newsletter out of her kitchen. It’s since been built into a lifestyle brand with a focus on six key pillars: wellness, travel, food, beauty, style, and work. These are all elements I think the women of Nashville can get behind, and we couldn’t be more excited about goop’s arrival to our city— even if it is only for a limited time.

The preview evening was filled with sparkling water, mojitos, a stunning charcuterie table and hors d’oeuvres that nodded at Nashville with Jack Daniel’s barbecue sauce and moonshine-marinated watermelon bruschetta. Even the interior has subtle Nashville elements, yet still manages to stay true to goop’s signature clean and chic vibe.  Unable to stop myself, I tried on a G. Label dress that I immediately purchased because the fabric was lightweight, yet not sheer and probably the comfiest article of clothing I’ve ever put on my body.

The pop-up is stocked with all of goop’s classic items, from ready-to-wear to clean beauty, jewelry, and home goods, this space is a one-stop-shop (and perfect for gift shopping given the holiday season coming up). Unique to Nashville, though, is a new element to goop’s pop-ups: A communal space with a corresponding café to enjoy “goopy” wellness snacks and beverages. This aspect is a first for goop, and we can’t wait to partake in their weekly “Matcha Mondays” (co-hosted by Nashville favorite, Ancient Nutrition) and other in-store events.

What exactly can we expect to buy in-store? For ready-to-wear, they’ll be carrying Gwenyth’s G. Label and G. Sport activewear along with pieces from brands including Xirena, Live the Process, No. 6, Rhode, and Skin. For jewelry, goop will have e-commerce favorites Jennifer Fisher, Foundrae, La Californienne, Eriness and more available to try on, admire, purchase and wish-list. On the right side of the space lives all things wellness and beauty. In regards to wellness, there will be a large assortment of supplements, workout accessories, and aromatherapy products. The store will also carry an array of beauty products from brands like Vitner’s Daughter, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Olio e Esso, Jillian Dempsey, goop Beauty (goop’s in-house beauty line), and more. We’d recommend giving goop’s Replenishing Night Cream a try (it’s one of my faves). The texture is incredible and it smells heavenly.

Be sure to stop in soon (and frequently) because like all good things, it will eventually come to an end on December 1st. Did we mention your purchases will come in a sustainable, reusable tote with the exclusive #goopNashville branding? Sold and sold. See you soon, goop lovers.
