Nashville’s first-ever “Hometown to Hometown” event took place on February 13 at Clementine. The exclusive evening was filled with musical performances and a celebration of Ross Copperman and Nicolle Galyon, who received the inaugural “2020 Champions of the Year” award. The two were honored for their tireless work for music education and commitment to giving back to their hometown music programs.

CMT’s Leslie Fram served as the event emcee while notable singer-songwriters Michael Ray, Emily Weisband and Blessing Offor performed for the guests and joined the honorees on-stage to perform throughout the evening. In addition to amazing intimate performances, over $200K was raised to benefit underserved high schools in Nashville, as well as the honorees hometowns in Virginia and Kansas, respectively. Proceeds will be used to benefit music and new technology programs in the schools.

The event was sponsored by CMT, Gibson Gives, IOMAXIS, The Music Playground, and Integrated Life. For more information visit SaveTheMusic.org and SongFarm.org. Follow @SaveTheMusic, @ThisisSongFarm, and #HometownToHometown.
