Jennifer and her husband (Billy Frist) are one of Nashville’s most loved couples and for good reason. They do so much for local charities and causes and set an example for the rest of us on staying fit no matter how many years pass. Their family is the center of her world, but she makes plenty of time to chair events, volunteer, and plan travel excursions that include their group of close friends. She looks effortlessly stylish in every situation, which makes her one of the city’s best-dressed personalities.

Work & Life

TNE: What meaningful lesson have you learned through quarantine and how do you plan to incorporate that mindset or lesson into your life moving forward?

JF: I learned how to be okay with the slower pace.  It took a while to get used to life in COVID times but I find I am more thorough and thoughtful now when I attack even a small house project.  And I have loved getting to those back-burner projects that have gone untouched for too long.

TNE: Quote, mantra, or saying that has meaning in your life…

JF: Do it NOW while you still care and want to.

TNE: Women who have most influenced you?

JF: My mother in law Patricia Frist and my mother Carole Rose.

TNE: Due to the pandemic, many people are now working from home. What are your best tips, tricks, and advice for a productive at-home workspace?

JF: Only try to tackle one project at a time, and give yourself a break if you do not get something productive done each day.  It’s not a sprint and the “checklist” is always there.   Just keeping the house clean, doing laundry and cooking is pretty darn productive but I think we forget that sometimes. Get the kids involved in household work, we all have the time right now and it has been a great opportunity to teach life skills like cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Most of all, check on friends and loved ones that live alone.  This can be hard on someone that is stuck at home and not able to get out and about and socialize.
